Sunday 8th November 2009 - Away to Great Chart today with Ben Binder as Captain - what a great game with some good play from all the boys and excellent passing all round. First half ended 2 - 0 to Hoppers with goals by Ethan Madden. Second half saw four more goals, 2 by Zac Howes and 2 by Brook Field with the final score 6 - 0 to Grasshopper U9 Yellows.
Saturday 31st October 2009 - Away again this time to Tenterden Tigers with Brook Field as team Captain. Some good play from the boys and so many trys at goal. Final score 0-0.
Saturday 24th October 2009 - A home game against South Ashford with Ethan Madden as Captain saw another brilliant win by the Yellows with goals by Brooke Field, Ronnie Kinchin and Ethan Madden and a final 6 -1 score.
Saturday 17th October 2009 - Today against the other U9 grasshopper team with Tom Palmer as Captain- a nail biting game that finally ended in a 2 all draw with goals by Ethan Madden and Ronnie Kinchin.
Saturday 10th October 09 - First away match of the season with Theo Baker as Captain was played at the Mini Soccer Centre in Ashford against Courtside FC, and saw the Hoppers with their second win of the season, with goals scored by Theo Baker and Ethan Madden. Final score: Grasshoppers 3 - 0 Courtside.
Saturday 3rd October 09 - 2nd match of season with Travis Kemp as Captain, was again at home on the Rype, against Park Farm. 10 minutes into the 1st half saw Park Farm awarded their first goal. Following some excellent passing Theo Baker scored to bring the score one all, however 10 minutes into the 2nd half saw Park Farm score their goal. Despite the Hoppers best efforts the final score was: Grasshoppers 1 - 2 Park Farm. 
Saturday 19th September 09 saw our first competitive match in the Ashford Ditsrict Youth League played at home on the Rype against Smeeth & Brabourne with Brooke Field as Captain. This was a close fought match with Smeeth scoring first. The 'hoppers rallied and their first goal was handsomely provided by Brooke Field towards the end of the first half. Theo Baker chipped in our second goal just before the half time whistle. With some good trys from many of the boys, the final result saw the U9 Hoppers with their first win of the season: Grasshopper 2 - 1 Smeeth & Brabourne. Well done boys keep up the good work.
